Information
Stuart Leech is a Ramsgate, UK-based artist who studied photography at the University of Portsmouth before turning to a multimedia and research-led approach that incorporates photography, video and text to explore political and social issues. His work, including the critically acclaimed photobook Canto, examines the East Kent border landscape and its significant Brexit support, urging viewers to engage empathetically with issues of migration and identity. Extending his exhibitions beyond traditional galleries, Leech has displayed his work in a shop front in Kent, installed in a telephone box and used newsprint to make his work accessible, whilst critiquing the influence of media on societal views.
