68 migrants taken back to northern France by the French authorities today in choppy conditions. 436 migrants in nine boats were brought to Dover and Dungeness on Sunday by the Border Force and RNLI.  There have been more arrivals today despite some choppy conditions at sea. 199 migrants in five boats were brought to Dover yesterday. 50 migrants have been told the government plans to send them to Rwanda.  51 migrants in two boats reached the UK yesterday. More than 8000 people have made the crossing so far this year.  The government attempts to manage expectations over its plan to send some migrants on a one-way ticket to Rwanda.  The French authorities say a boat with 56 migrants on board got into difficulty this morning. The people on board were taken to Boulogne.  The Home Office says it will inform the first group of migrants this week of its intention to send them to Rwanda. It’s not clear though when any flights might take off. 169 migrants on 11 boats were brought to Dover on Saturday according to the Ministry of Defence. The MOD says 116 migrants on four boats reached the UK on Friday.  19 migrants taken to Sangatte after their boat got into difficulty in the Channel.  The Ministry of Defence says 65 migrants on two boats were brought to Dover yesterday. More people have arrived this morning.  The French authorities say they picked up 67 migrants in the Channel yesterday after their boats got into difficulty and returned them to Calais.  149 migrants on four boats reached the UK yesterday. The French authorities say they stopped 15 migrants reaching the UK yesterday. 293 people did make the crossing.  More migrants have been brought to shore in Dover this morning.  254 migrants in seven boats reached the UK yesterday with the return of calm weather in the Channel.  The MOD says 263 migrants in seven boats were brought to Dover yesterday after they reached UK waters.  88 migrants reached the UK yesterday on two boats according to the MOD.  It’s thought around 90 migrants have been brought to shore by Border Force today.  A second group of migrants is currently being brought to shore at Dover.
